Embark on an unforgettable sport fishing experience in the remote Madidi and Undumo rivers of the Bolivian Amazon. Enjoy 6 full days of fishing for impressive species such as Piraiba, Peacock Bass and Arapaima. With expert guides and an incredible natural environment, this adventure offers world-class fishing and an intimate connection with Bolivian biodiversity.
Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday – Arrival in Bolivia and transfer to Jungle Fishing Camp
Arrival at Jorge Wilstermann International Airport in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Flight by light aircraft at 9:30 am to Santa Ana de Fong airstrip at Arapaima Lodge (flight time approximately 2.5 hours).
Important: It is recommended to be at the airport at least 2 hours before the flight to check-in, weigh luggage (maximum 20 kg per person), and complete boarding procedures.
Reception at the Santa Ana de Fong airstrip and transfer by large covered boat to Jungle Fishing Camp, where you will enjoy refreshments and prepare your fishing equipment.
Arrival at the camp, reception with refreshments and accommodation in the rooms.
Welcome dinner and organizational talk for the fishing days.
Overnight at Jungle Fishing Camp.
Day 2: Sunday – First fishing day
Early breakfast at 6:30 am.
Departure by boat to the best fishing spots of the Madidi River and its lakes. Each boat carries 2 fishermen, a community guide and a professional guide.
Equipment in the boat: cooler with drinks, ice, and cold lunch. Varied bait available, such as benton and sardines.
Fishing all day until 6:00 pm.
Return to camp, dinner and planning for the next day.
Overnight at Jungle Fishing Camp.
Days 3 to 6: Monday to Thursday – Full fishing days
Breakfast at 6:30 am each day.
Grouped in teams of 2 anglers and 2 guides per boat, you will spend full days fishing in the waters of the Madidi River and its surroundings.
Cold lunch on the river.
During these days, you will be able to fish a great variety of species such as:
- Piraiba (Cod)
- Moturo (Manguruyú or Chanana)
- Arapaima (Paiche)
- General (Pirarara)
- Paleta
- Surubí Atigrado (Simicuyo)
- Armado (Tacha)
- Brazo de Mosa (Tujuno or Yundiá)

Return to Jungle Fishing Camp every evening at 6:00 pm.
Dinner and overnight at Jungle Fishing Camp.
Day 7: Friday – Last day of fishing and transfer to Arapaima Lodge
Breakfast at 6:30 am.
Fishing until noon (approximately until 1:00 pm), then return by big boat to Arapaima Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Arapaima Lodge.
Day 8: Saturday – Flight back to Cochabamba
Breakfast at Arapaima Lodge.
Transfer by small plane from the Santa Ana de Fong airstrip to Cochabamba Airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.

We recommend you bring:
- Comfortable clothing for tropical weather (light long-sleeved shirts, pants, etc.).
- Sturdy boots for walking and fishing.

- Camera or GoPro to capture the adventure.
- Small, sturdy backpack to carry during fishing days.
- Personal fishing equipment if you prefer to use your own.
